iOS 16.4: The Full List of New Emoji That Hit Your iPhone
One of the most sought-after emoji comes to your iPhone.
Apple’s latest software update, iOS 16.4, can be downloaded now, and it brings a collection of new features to your iPhone, from voice isolation for calls to support for PlayStation 5 controllers. The update brings a collection of new emoji — including one of the most requested emoji — to your iPhone, too.
Among the new emoji are a shaking-head smiley; animals like a donkey, moose and goose; and additional heart colors, such as plain pink and light blue. The plain pink heart has been a long-sought emoji, according to Emojipedia, which named it one of the site’s top emoji requests in 2015. Last year’s significant emoji drop in iOS 15.4 included a melting face, a lip being bitten and a pregnant man, with 37 new designs in total.

A moose, donkey and goose are some of the new emoji iPhone users might see soon.
EmojipediaEmojipedia said the new emoji came from Unicode’s September 2022 recommendation list, Emoji 15.0.
You can start using all the latest emoji and other new features by downloading iOS 16.4 now.
For more, check out how to decipher each emoji, and take a look at the emoji you may have missed with the release of iOS 15.4.

Hint for today’s Strands puzzle
Today’s Strands theme is: Gloriously glaring!
If that doesn’t help you, here’s a clue: Shimmery.
Clue words to unlock in-game hints
Your goal is to find hidden words that fit the puzzle’s theme. If you’re stuck, find any words you can. Every time you find three words of four letters or more, Strands will reveal one of the theme words. These are the words I used to get those hints but any words of four or more letters that you find will work:
- TEAM, MATE, HATE, GATE, LIST, LISTEN, GLEE, LINT, CHEAT, HEAT
Answers for today’s Strands puzzle
These are the answers that tie into the theme. The goal of the puzzle is to find them all, including the spangram, a theme word that reaches from one side of the puzzle to the other. When you have all of them (I originally thought there were always eight but learned that the number can vary), every letter on the board will be used. Here are the nonspangram answers:
- GLOW, GLEAM, GLINT, GLITTER, GLISTEN, GLIMMER
Today’s Strands spangram
Today’s Strands spangram is CATCHTHELIGHT. To find it, start with the C that’s three letters to the right on the bottom row, and wind up.

Turn up the Volume With These EarFun Air Pro 4 Earbuds While They’re Down to Just $63
The EarFun Air Pro 4 earbuds are the perfect choice for budget-conscious shoppers who still want every audio perk available.
Right now we’ve spotted EarFun AirPro 4 earbuds for just $63, which saves you $17 with Amazon Prime. In addition to this discount, shoppers can save an extra 5 or 10% when making other eligible purchases. Though not exactly its lowest price, it’s just $10 previous short of its previous low record price and one best deals on audio gear we can expect right now.
The earbuds are frequently discounted from their $80 list price, but that $63 price is a significant discount. CNET Executive Editor David Carnoy reviewed the Earfun Air Pro 4, noting that its wireless charging, ear-detection sensors and multipoint Bluetooth pairing for using with multiple devices are all very useful perks.
Carnoy does note that voice-calling performance for these earbuds doesn’t come anywhere close to premium earbuds like Apple’s AirPods Pro, but when these earbuds cost a fraction of that, they could be a good value for someone who just wants something easy to use for listening to music and podcasts.
