Amazon’s grocery delivery options can put an end to in-person shopping. What to know
Some grocery delivery services come at a fee but others are included in your Prime membership.
The pandemic has changed how we buy food. Lots of people are switching from in-person shopping to grocery delivery. And Amazon is ready to meet the demand of delivery with a few ways for Prime members to stock up on fresh food and pantry items without leaving the house. You can even refill your pantry if you have an Alexa-enabled device with voice commands.
Prime members can get 2-hour delivery on over 170,000 items (and other subscription perks, too). You can buy snacks and drinks directly from the Amazon app. Whole Foods has a plethora of fresh fruit, vegetables and poultry (However, it will soon require a delivery charge), But how do these options compare to Amazon Fresh?

Hint for today’s Strands puzzle
Today’s Strands theme is: You need to chill
If that doesn’t help you, here’s a clue: Brrrr!
Clue words to unlock in-game hints
Your goal is to find hidden words that fit the puzzle’s theme. If you’re stuck, find any words you can. Every time you find three words of four letters or more, Strands will reveal one of the theme words. These are the words I used to get those hints but any words of four or more letters that you find will work:
- GONE, ABLE, TABLE, FOOD, TEEN, LEAF, GOOF, GOOD, SAFE
Answers for today’s Strands puzzle
These are the answers that tie into the theme. The goal of the puzzle is to find them all, including the spangram, a theme word that reaches from one side of the puzzle to the other. When you have all of them (I originally thought there were always eight but learned that the number can vary), every letter on the board will be used. Here are the nonspangram answers:
- PIZZA, SHERBET, POPSICLES, WAFFLES, VEGETABLES
Today’s Strands spangram
Today’s Strands spangram is FROZENFOOD. To find it, start with the F that is five letters down on the far-right row, and wind backward.
