Last-Minute Memorial Day Deal: Save Up to 33% Off Your PlayStation Plus Membership
This rare PlayStation Plus deal means you can get a ton of games at a discount.
The big Memorial Day deals might be starting to come to an end, but PlayStation’s Days of Play sale is just getting started. There are discounts on games, hardware and services, and it’s the last one that we’re interested in here.
This rare PlayStation Plus deal means you can save up to 33% off your membership, depending on which tier you choose. The biggest discount comes on the Premium plan, but there are savings to be had across the range.
The only catch is that you need to stump up for a full year’s subscription to save, but it’s worth doing if you know that you’ll be using PlayStation Plus in 12 months’ time.
Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money.
There are three tiers of PlayStation Plus available, with the Essential plan on offer for $64 — a 20% discount. That subscription offers access to online multiplayer, exclusive discounts and free monthly games. You’ll also get support for cloud storage, Share Play and «exclusive content,» whatever that turns out to be.
Move up to the Extra tier and you’ll save 25% and pay $101 for a year’s access. You get everything the Essential plan offers, plus access to hundreds of games already in the PlayStation Plus catalog as well as Ubisoft Plus Classics.
At the pinnacle of the lineup, we have the Premium plan. That offers the full 33% discount, so you’ll pay $107 for the year. That makes this a better option than the Extra plan, thanks to support for game trials, cloud streaming and access to PlayStation’s catalog of classic games — plus everything you get with the two lower tiers, too.
Why this deal matters
PlayStation Plus deals don’t come around all that often, so it’s always worth taking advantage of them when they do. These discounts are available across all three tiers of membership, although you do save the most when choosing PlayStation Plus Premium.

Hint for today’s Strands puzzle
Today’s Strands theme is: For a rainy day
If that doesn’t help you, here’s a clue: Singin’ in the rain.
Clue words to unlock in-game hints
Your goal is to find hidden words that fit the puzzle’s theme. If you’re stuck, find any words you can. Every time you find three words of four letters or more, Strands will reveal one of the theme words. These are the words I used to get those hints but any words of four or more letters that you find will work:
- CANT, CALL, ROUT, RILE, SIRE, LIRE, BAIL, MAIL, TALL, MALL, HALL, BAND, PANE, TAPAS
Answers for today’s Strands puzzle
These are the answers that tie into the theme. The goal of the puzzle is to find them all, including the spangram, a theme word that reaches from one side of the puzzle to the other. When you have all of them (I originally thought there were always eight but learned that the number can vary), every letter on the board will be used. Here are the nonspangram answers:
- RIBS, VENT, PANEL, SHAFT, BUTTON, CANOPY, HANDLE
Today’s Strands spangram
Today’s Strands spangram is UMBRELLATERM. To find it, start with the U that is three letters to the right on the bottom row, and wind up, forming … kind of an umbrella shape?

Between the sheer number of options and varying price points, picking one out is far from easy, especially if you’re looking for a budget-minded option. However, right now, SteelSeries’ popular Apex 3 TKL model is discounted to just $32 as part of the Amazon Spring Sale, a solid 36% drop from its usual $50 price, which makes it one of the most accessible upgrades you can make.
The SteelSeries Apex 3 TKL is easy to recommend, considering how well it balances the basics. It’s a tenkeyless design, which means you’re losing the number pad but gaining more desk space. That can make a big difference if you’re running a compact desk setup.
The typing experience leans towards quiet and comfortable thanks to the whisper quiet switches used here. That makes the keyboard accessible for everyday work as well as gaming. It also bring in features you wouldn’t really expect at this budget price point. You get customizable RGB lighting, dedicated media controls and even IP32 water resistance to protect the keyboard against accidental beverage spills.
The keyboard is our pick for the best gaming keyboard for 2026, which reflects how it performs in real-world use. If you want a full-size layout, the standard Apex 3 is also on sale though the discount runs a bit slimmer.
