Today Only: Bose Ultra Open Earbuds Just Hit a New $189 Low

Score some of CNET’s favorite open earbuds for with a huge $110 discount while you can.

Headphones and earbuds are great for listening to music, but some go a step further with unique designs for specific use cases. The Bose’s Ultra Open Earbuds are a great example. They’re some of the best open-ear earbuds and running headphones around right now. Even better, Best Buy is offering them for their lowest ever price. But you’ll need to be quick because this deal only has hours left, ending at midnight on Dec. 15.

You can pick up these top-rated earbuds today with a sizeable $110 discount, but only in the lunar blue color. That means you’ll pay just $189 if you’re quick. Looking for deals on other colors? Amazon is offering a couple more colors for just $10 extra.

In his review, CNET expert audio David Carnoy said that, «If you can afford the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds, you’re getting an excellent set of open earbuds that not only feature top-notch sound for this type of earbud but an appealing design in terms of a secure and comfortable fit.»

He didn’t love the price, but this deal helps alleviate that issue. These earbuds have amazing sound quality, a unique design and plenty of excellent features to boot.

The Bose Ultra Open Earbuds are a wild little twist on your usual in-ear buds. They offer an open-ear design that perches on the edge of your ears, letting in the world around you while still piping in your music with surprisingly full sound. Plus, they’ve got spatial audio, 27 hours of total battery life and stay put during workouts. They’re also IPX4 rated, so they’ll survive your sweat-inducing gym sessions.

There’s no doubt in our minds that this is one of the best offers available at the moment. Just make sure you buy them soon if you want them, because this $110 discount is only available today.

Why this deal matters

Headphones that cost hundreds of dollars may feel excessive, but the sound quality and features they deliver can make them worth it — if you can swing the price. Knocking $110 off puts them within reach for more people — and that’s always a win. This is the lowest price we’ve seen, so we don’t expect them to drop further any time soon.

Samsung’s Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 Might Come in 5G and 4G Cellular Models

If the rumor proves true, the 5G Galaxy Watch Ultra would rival the 5G-enabled $799 Apple Watch Ultra 3 that debuted last fall.

Samsung’s next high-end Galaxy Watch could support faster 5G speeds, but if this leak is true, it will depend on where you live. The rumored Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 might come in 5G and 4G cellular models, with availability for each smartwatch depending on the country.

According to the Dutch website Galaxy Club (and spotted by SamMobile), Samsung’s servers may have revealed a series of model numbers that point to 5G, 4G and Wi-Fi-enabled editions of the next Galaxy Watch Ultra, which would succeed the original model that debuted in 2024.

A representative for Samsung did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The Galaxy Club website speculates that the 5G edition would be sold in the US and Korean markets, while the 4G edition would sell in the rest of the world. In the US, a 5G version of the Galaxy Watch Ultra would rival the 5G-enabled $799 Apple Watch Ultra 3, which debuted last fall. The 4G edition would have broader compatibility worldwide, since the earlier network is far more established.

It will likely be a few months until we hear anything official about the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Samsung typically unveils its new watches in the summer alongside its Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip foldable phones. Last year, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Watch 8 and the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, but otherwise left the prior 2024 Ultra in the lineup for those looking for a larger 47mm smartwatch.
