How to Use Double XP Tokens in Black Ops 6 and Warzone
Double XP is a must, whether you’re grinding Black Ops 6 levels or prepping for Black Ops 7. Here’s how to use your shiny new double XP tokens.

If you’re looking for your next hit of double experience in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, you’re not alone. While developer Treyarch frequently runs double XP weekends for the most recent Call of Duty game, not every player can take advantage of the full event.
When the weekend is over, players are often left looking for ways to keep the speedy XP gain they grew accustomed to. The solution is double XP tokens, which can help gamers level up their player level, weapon levels and battle pass tiers twice as fast.
Many players have an ample supply of Black Ops 6 double XP tokens, but with Black Ops 7 arriving in just a few months, now is the time to start earning double XP tokens for the next game, too. If you know where to look, there are giveaways and promotions that will help you get a head start in the next Call of Duty game.
With multiple seasons of unlockable guns and melee weapons to catch up on and the introduction of the new XP-based Warzone Armory, players will be benefiting from double weapon XP more than ever before.
If you don’t know how to get more double XP tokens to keep leveling up quickly after double XP weekends, we’re here to help. Here’s every way you can use double XP tokens in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 right now.
Can you use double XP tokens on Double XP Weekend?
Black Ops 6 and Warzone players aren’t able to activate double XP tokens during a double XP weekend. When attempting to open the double XP token menu to activate your tokens, they’ll be grayed out and unable to be interacted with for the duration of the event.
Any double XP time that players had activated before double XP weekend will be frozen, and will reactivate once the universal double XP boost comes to an end. Players will also be able to continue activating their double XP tokens after Sunday, Dec. 1 at 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. PT), when the double XP weekend wraps up.
How to earn free XP tokens in Black Ops 6
Most of the ways to earn Black Ops 6’s double XP tokens involve microtransactions or external marketing campaigns, but there are still some ways to earn the boosts without spending a single cent.
Multiplayer prestige
Reaching max rank and choosing to prestige your account is the most reliable way to earn double XP tokens in Black Ops 6. Each time you enter a new prestige level, you’ll be rewarded with a 1-hour token for double player XP. Since there are 10 player prestige levels, you can gain a maximum of 10 hours’ worth of double XP tokens through the prestige system.
Seasonal battle pass
As Black Ops 6 enters season 1, it has been confirmed that the battle pass will offer double player XP and double weapon XP tokens on multiple unlockable tiers. The premium battle pass requires a Call of Duty point investment from players, but there are double XP tokens on free battle pass tiers that anyone can earn by just playing the game.
Giveaways through official channels
Occasionally, codes for double XP tokens are shared on official Call of Duty communication channels. Most recently, the Call of Duty account on X ran a giveaway where players could earn up to 3 hours of double player XP, weapon XP and battle pass XP before the launch of Black Ops 6. It’s worth keeping an eye on Call of Duty’s social media pages to spot future double XP token giveaways.
Paying for XP tokens in Black Ops 6
Opening your wallet and shelling out some cash is the quickest way to nab some double XP tokens to level up your Call of Duty gameplay. These are the most reliable ways to secure some tokens for your account.
Microtransactions
Double XP tokens are included in certain purchasable bundles in Black Ops 6. The first available bundle, the CODE Endeavour: Tracer Pack, has two double XP tokens. There’s a 1-hour double-player XP token and a 1-hour double weapon XP token. The Tracer Pack: Cash Bandit Reactive, introduced in Season 1, also contains a 1-hour double-player XP token.
Future bundles and microtransactions will also likely include double XP tokens.
External promotions
Call of Duty is partnered with external brands, including Monster Energy and Little Caesars, which can bring special campaigns to Black Ops 6 players. Buying products from these brands and redeeming reward codes allows gamers to earn Call of Duty Points, exclusive operator skins, weapon skins, weapon blueprints, weapon vinyls, calling cards and emblems. Most importantly, you’ll have a chance to earn double XP tokens to use in the multiplayer and zombies modes in Black Ops 6.
Stock up on double XP tokens for Black Ops 7
There might not be many external promotions left for Black Ops 6’s life cycle, but the collaborations are already ramping up for Black Ops 7. Monster Energy has partnered with Activision once more, bringing new cosmetic rewards and healthy heaps of XP tokens to the table before the next Call of Duty launches.
Will Black Ops 6 double XP tokens be usable in Black Ops 7?
While we don’t know for certain whether or not Black Ops 6 double XP tokens will carry over to the next game, it’s safe to assume that they will not. The double XP tokens from Modern Warfare 3 never properly carried over to Black Ops 6, and we already have confirmation that no weapon or operator skins from Black Ops 6 will carry over to 7.
What is likely, however, is that the common loophole to use legacy double XP tokens will still work by the time Black Ops 7 launches. If you want to use your double XP tokens from older Call of Duty games, you can access them from the Warzone menu.
Once the double XP tokens are activated in Warzone, players can navigate the Call of Duty hub to their intended game — in this case, that would be Black Ops 7 — and reap the rewards of double XP while playing multiplayer modes.
How to earn Black Ops 7 double XP tokens now
Monster Energy has partnered with Call of Duty to put together a promotion that will look very familiar to Black Ops 6 fans. Specially marked cans of Monster Energy include codes that unlock Black Ops 7 rewards, including operator skins, weapon blueprints, decals and sweet, sweet double XP tokens. Here’s the order in which you’ll earn Call of Duty Black Ops 7 rewards by redeeming Monster Energy codes.
- Energy Flash decal and 15-minute double XP token unlocked with the first code.
- Peacekeeper MK1 Hyper Green weapon blueprint and 15-minute double XP token unlocked with the second code.
- Green Fury operator skin and 15-minute double XP token unlocked with the third code.
- VS Recon Green Thunder weapon blueprint and 15-minute double XP token unlocked with the fourth code.
- Daylight Ripper operator skin and 15-minute double XP token unlocked with the fifth code.
There are no unique cosmetic rewards to be gained after redeeming the first five codes, but that doesn’t mean you’re out of luck. Every subsequent code redemption unlocks an additional 15-minute double XP token to use on your Black Ops 7 account. These promotional codes must be used by March 31, 2026, in order to provide the rewards listed above.

Apple Says a Digital Version of Your Passport Is Coming Soon to iPhones
The feature will be REAL ID compliant, but you still need a physical passport to leave the country.
Apple will soon allow iPhone owners to add digital versions of their US passports to their phones, said Jennifer Bailey, vice president for Apple Pay and Wallet, on Sunday.
The digital document will be compliant with REAL ID, but you’ll still need a physical US passport to fly internationally or cross US land borders with Canada and Mexico.
Apple wants to broaden how people can use its online Wallet feature for identification purposes. You can already use a digital ID for your driver’s license in certain states, and Bailey said Apple wants people to use Wallet for concert tickets, student IDs, house keys, car keys and more.

Not for international travel
When the feature becomes available, iPhone users can scan their physical US passport to add it to the Wallet app, creating a digital ID that’s compliant with REAL ID. When flying domestically, travelers can show that digital version from their iPhone or Apple Watch, instead of using their physical passport, at participating TSA checkpoints. REAL ID is required to fly within the US and to US territories such as Puerto Rico.
However, travelers will not be able to use their digital ID to fly internationally, not even to Mexico or Canada. When crossing borders, you’ll still need your physical US passport to enter and leave the country.

Convenience … and risk
While relying on Apple Wallet might be convenient, there are risks, according to the Identity Management Institute, a global identity and access management organization. Possible dangers of digital ID wallets include security breaches, identity theft and data privacy issues. Losing your device is another major risk.
The organization said that people using digital ID wallets must take several precautions, which are good tips for any online activity.
- Use strong, unique passwords or PINs.
- Enable two-factor authentication.
- Keep devices and software up to date.
- Be cautious about where you’re making digital transactions. Verify that you’re shopping or otherwise using your digital ID at legitimate sites.

TikTok’s Fate May Be Decided This Week After Years of Threats and Bans
President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are set to seal a TikTok deal on Thursday, according to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.
After years of political wrangling, lawsuits, looming bans and uncertainty for millions of people, TikTok’s long-running dramatic saga might finally conclude this week. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Sunday that US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are expected to «consummate» a long-negotiated agreement on Thursday, allowing TikTok to continue operating in the US under new ownership terms.

«The details are ironed out,» Bessent said, stating that his purpose in the negotiations was «to get the Chinese to agree to approve the transaction» and that it was «successfully accomplished.»
It’s possible, of course, that Thursday could come and go without a TikTok deal finalization. Dates and deadlines have been flexible along the way. Trump set numerous deadlines for changes involving TikTok and has bumped those dates several times. TikTok went briefly offline in January hours ahead of a planned ban, but returned the next day.

TikTok’s controversial history in the US
TikTok’s political rollercoaster began in 2020, when Washington first raised alarms about the app’s Chinese ownership and potential data vulnerabilities. Congress passed a 2024 law forcing ByteDance, TikTok’s Beijing-based parent, to divest its US operations or face a total ban. Since then, the video-sharing site has faced multiple executive orders, court challenges and failed acquisition attempts.
The time to make a deal has been running out. The US Supreme Court upheld the divestment order earlier this year, rejecting arguments that a ban would violate free speech. That ruling pushed both sides back to the negotiating table, but there have been numerous delays and shifts to the TikTok deal deadline over the last few months.
Trump signed an executive order on Sept. 25, allowing the new ownership to be US-based and made up of a majority of American investors and stakeholders.
The all-important algorithm
The White House confirmed in September that TikTok’s algorithm will be operated in the United States and overseen by American tech company Oracle. Private equity firm Silver Lake and Michael Dell, founder and CEO of Dell Technologies, will also be among the investors. In September, Trump said that News Corp founder Rupert Murdoch and his son Lachlan Murdoch will also be part of the ownership group, but CNN later reported that the Murdochs’ media company, Fox Corp, would be the investor, not the two Murdochs individually.
TikTok’s algorithm is a major part of the deal. The algorithm is what recommends content to you while you’re scrolling on TikTok, and it is controversial because of US concerns that ByteDance, TikTok’s original Chinese owner, could be forced by the Chinese government to use those recommendations in pro-Chinese, anti-US ways.
Under the new TikTok deal, the algorithm will be retrained on US user data.
What this means for TikTok users
For TikTok users, the alleged deal could preserve access to an app that has become a cultural mainstay in the US, eliminating the looming threat of a shutdown or spinoff app.
As part of the new arrangement, TikTok’s US user data will remain stored domestically and managed by a dedicated oversight board, which may appease many Americans with concerns about data privacy.
Trump and Xi will meet again in Korea on Thursday, which means a TikTok deal could be announced by the end of this week. However, implementing the deal and changing ownership will likely take months.
Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison is a personal friend of Trump, and some users fear his role with TikTok could mean the algorithm could push right-wing political content to users. A recent NPR story reported that analysts say that this could happen, but they will also need to refrain from alienating the existing audience.
